Private Label Peanut Butter for UAE Brands: How We Work, Start to Shelf
Nuflower Foods & Nutrition is an Indian manufacturer of
private label peanut butter for UAE brands, importers and retailers. We develop
the recipe to your brief, at a facility certified to FSSC 22000, BRCGS and IFS,
prepare labelling and the full export document pack, and ship direct to Jebel
Ali.
Plenty of businesses in the UAE want their own peanut butter
line. Very few want to own a factory to get one. That is the gap most brands,
importers and retail buyers find themselves in. The category is growing, the
shelf space is there, and the margins on own-label are better than on
distributing someone else’s brand. What stops people is everything behind the
product: finding a manufacturer who
will take a small first order, who will make the recipe you actually want
rather than the one they already run, and who will send documents that clear
customs without a phone call every week.
This article explains how we work with UAE brands, what you
get from the partnership, and why a manufacturer in India ends up being the
practical answer for most businesses launching here.

Why UAE brands partner rather than build
Setting up your own plant means importing peanuts, importing
machinery, hiring a quality team and paying for all of it during the months the
line is not running. For a single product category, that rarely pays back.
Partnering with an established manufacturer gives you the
same product without any of that. You keep the brand, the pricing and the
customer relationship. We handle the sourcing, the making, the testing and the
paperwork.
The reason so many UAE businesses look to India specifically
comes down to three things:
The raw material is already here. India is the
world’s second-largest groundnut producer and its largest exporter, so nobody
is shipping peanuts halfway around the world before processing starts.
The shipping is short. Direct sailings from India’s
west coast reach Jebel Ali in a matter of days.
The duty is lower. The India-UAE trade agreement, in
force since 2022, removed or cut duty on the large majority of Indian goods
entering the country, including food. Before it, most food imports faced the
standard 5% Gulf tariff.
Put together, that means a better landed cost than most
alternatives, without giving up quality.

Every Importer Should Ask Their Peanut Butter Supplier
What makes a good manufacturing partner
Most suppliers will quote you a price. Fewer will tell you
honestly whether your idea works at that price, and fewer still will still be
picking up the phone when your second order needs a change.
Before you sign with anyone, it is worth checking four
things:
- Are
they the manufacturer, or an agent? A trading company adds a margin
and a delay to every question you ask. You want to be talking to the
people who run the line.
- Will
they develop a recipe for you? Many suppliers only sell what they
already make. If your brand needs a specific taste, texture or nutrition
profile, that matters.
- What
is the smallest order they will take? A high minimum forces you to
bet everything on one product before you know what sells.
- Can
they prove their standards? Certification is easy to claim and easy
to verify. Ask for the certificates.
These are the questions we would want answered if we were in
your position, and they are a fair test of any supplier you are considering,
including us.

What we bring to the partnership
We are the manufacturer
We make the product ourselves at our own facility. There is
no agent in between, which means faster answers, a better price, and direct
access to the people who can actually change something if you need it changed.
Scale you can grow into
We produce up to 60 tonnes a day and have supplied more than
34,000 tonnes since 2017. A pilot batch and a national listing are the same
conversation for us, just at different points on the schedule. You will not
outgrow us.
Certification you can put in front of a retail buyer
Our facility holds FSSC 22000, BRCGS, IFS, US-FDA
registration, ISO 9001, Halal, Kosher and Sedex certification.
These are third-party audited standards rather than
self-declarations, and it is the same quality system that fills your jar. When
a retail group runs its supplier checks on us, they generally pass first time.
A low-risk way to start
Minimum order starts at 300 kg per product. You can launch
three or four lines, see which one moves, and scale the winner. Most brands
find that far more useful than committing a full container to a single guess.
Recipe development included
Our development team works to your brief rather than handing
you a catalogue. Creamy, crunchy, all-natural, high protein, no added sugar,
chocolate, or something built around local flavours like date or tahini.
Standard products sample quickly. A completely new flavour usually reaches an
approved sample in three to four weeks.
Products built for this market
A recipe that works in Europe does not always work here.
Peanut butter without a stabiliser separates, and Gulf temperatures make that
happen faster and look worse on shelf. We build the recipe around the storage
your product will actually see, and we will tell you at sample stage if your
distribution cannot support an all-natural line.
The same applies to paperwork. Arabic labelling is mandatory
here, allergen declarations are checked, and imported food generally needs a
good share of its shelf life left on arrival. We prepare artwork and documents
with that in mind and schedule production around your shipping date, not ours.
One supplier for the whole range
Alongside peanut butter, we make almond butter, cashew butter and chocolate
hazelnut spread. As your brand grows into new lines, you are not starting
again with a new supplier.

How the partnership works
- You
tell us what you want. Product, target shelf price, jar size, rough
volume. If what you want is not achievable at that price, we say so
straight away rather than after you have spent time on samples.
- We
develop and send samples. With full specifications, so you know
exactly what you are approving.
- We
check your artwork. Before you print, against UAE labelling
requirements.
- We
prepare the documents. Halal certificate matched to your product,
certificate of analysis, certificate of origin, nutrition and allergen
information, export paperwork. One pack, not a series of emails.
- We
produce your first run. From 300 kg per product, with batch
traceability and quality release before anything leaves.
- We
ship to Jebel Ali. Timed around your vessel so the stock lands fresh.
- You
reorder easily. Once the recipe and artwork are settled, repeat
production is routine, and scaling up is a scheduling question rather
than a capacity one.

If you are weighing up a private label launch in the UAE,
the decision is simpler than it looks. You do not need a factory, a large
budget or a full container of stock. You need a manufacturer who will make what
you actually want, take a first order small enough to test with, and send
documents that clear without trouble.
That is the partnership we offer, and it is why brands,
distributors and retail groups keep reordering rather than shopping around.
Three steps to get moving:
- Decide
your product, jar size, target shelf price and launch date.
- Send
us the brief. We will tell you what is achievable and quote to Jebel Ali.
- Approve
a sample, and we schedule your first run.
